 About VR concerts

What if you could watch your favourite artist perform live in the comfort of your own home? Now you can with VR Concerts!

The pandemic has demonstrated the fragility of live entertainment, and VR Concerts are an innovative response to protect live entertainment. With VR Concerts, users have access to the exact same music show but with an elevated viewing experience!

Our Story

After over two years of social distancing lockdowns, the VR Concert team realized there needed to be a solution for the future of live music. As music lovers, we got to work brainstorming ways in which communities can still connect in both the physical and virtual realms over shared passions. Our team based in London and Toronto realized that nothing compares to connecting face-to-face, so we had to figure out how to combine the two. Which landed us upon Virtual reality concerts.

Virtual Reality concerts occur in the users' own homes when they connect a VR device to our website during the designated concert time. The virtual experience coincides with the live performance, so users will still see the same show, but VR attendees get added visual elements. Users can see the musician performing and 3-D visuals harmonizing with the background's digital projections. The virtual attendees can use the headset to walk around the music venue, even exploring the stage, an opportunity concertgoers would not get. To stay connected with the live audience, a chat will be running at the beginning and end of the show for a chance to converse with one another. VR provides accessibility for people that may not be able to attend in person, or those who are still hesitant to be immersed in large crowds, even people who may want an exciting, alternative experience.

To make this happen, VR Concerts have partnered with Oculus and various venues worldwide to get VR headsets in the hands of all music lovers. When a musician performs at a designated venue, they will get the opportunity to collaborate with our in-house design team to create the digital display. The tickets will go on sale at tiered prices, depending on experience. If purchasers select the VR show, they can connect their own device, or our team will send out a rentable Oculus headset. There is also an option for a 360 viewing experience that does not require access to a headset. Lastly, audience members can purchase to see the live experience. Regardless of the chosen viewing method, people see the same show in different ways. VR concert's mission is to connect music lovers across the world in different ways and we do so by creating new viewing experiences.
